The community of a small village in the Voivodina have only just managed to pull themselves out of the devastation of world war when they are confronted with a new conflict. The communists, former partisans, continue to fight for an ideal world, and to achieve this compulsory requisitioning of produce is introduced by the state. The harsh reality is, however, that they now face their own brothers who, because they don’t want to starve to death, are resisting collectivization. Then the nightmare of an impending flood hangs over all their heads. The film raising serious issues by poet and director Miroslav Antić was immediately banned after its premiere in 1971.
